The missus enthusiastically asked me to watch this old Korean music video. I don't know the Korean language but she somehow knew the story behind this music video.
".....it's about this photographer who knew this girl (became ?girlfriend) and one day she accidentally spilt a photo developing chemical into her eyes and became blind...He donated his cornea to her...She didn't know....was hoping he'll be there when she opens her eyes. She was disappointed when he did not come to visit her in hospital and broke up with her....one day she went to the motorbike racing track..and found him there...blind...and found out the truth..."
A tragic and touching love story. How many of us would be willing to do that? The missus say I'm a sucker for these mushy mushy stuffs...
And what if he wants back his cornea later?
I know there will always be an ethical debate on non-related live organ donor.
And dang...I should have gotten a Nikon camera and maybe I'll get to shoot that pretty model too hehehehe
Music is the food of the soul, they say. Nothing like enjoying some nice live music. Found a nice place to chill out. Lifts the mood and spirit.
And remembered this song.
I'm really fed up with the political situation in our country...coupled with the obsession with race and religious matters. I think it's about dominance really...
And the fact that 5,000 students in a university protested at the suggestion of allowing 10% of other races to be enrolled just exemplifies how bad polarization has creeped into our education system. Check out here and here. So will we be seeing more race based universities? So much for national integration. I'm a little worried at how things are turning out these days. Maybe I should start having a back-up plan...
Anyway I decided to take my mind away from all these depressing political stuffs. Came across this fantastic video of Michael Jackson's Beat It song by Fall Out Boy. When the mood is right I just love rock songs!!! Wish I could be at a rock concert singing my lungs out right now. Oh and I just bought these 2 new music CDs (can't remember the last time I actually bought music CDs). Ok...maybe I'm a little out of fashion hehe
I went around town scouting for this song for many hours. Just for this one song. So passionate, so intense, so full of burning fire... I love it! Played it over 20 times straight. Makes me forget all my troubles and lifts up my spirits. If I were a girl (named Maria of course) I would fall head over heels if a guy sang this song to me.
I didn't know who the singer was initially so I embarrassingly went around asking the clueless sales assistants all over town that I wanted the song Maria. I got the funny look from them most of the time hahaha... And most of them thought I wanted the song Ave Maria instead.
Thanks for the wonders of youtube and the internet, I managed to find the song and downloaded it hehehe :) Feel like letting go and dance...

Got acquainted to jazz this evening. My first jazz concert. Weather was hot but the ambience cannot be less than perfect :)
Was pretty impressed by our local duo band. They were good, real good. Unfortunately I found out that jazz is really not my cup of tea :(
I like my music to be dramatic, vocal, full of emotion, like a beautiful story...
Left when my significant other couldn't help yawning incessantly and started looking left and right hehe ;)
